BlocX Luxembourg: A New Dimension in Climbing and Fitness
BlocX in Esch-sur-Alzette is setting new standards in the climbing world as Luxembourg’s largest bouldering gym. Its grand opening brought a sprawling 3,000 square meters facility to life, including a remarkable 1,000 square meters dedicated to bouldering. The gym, divided into various zones spread across two floors, offers a diverse range of climbing experiences.
Key attractions include a Ninja Warrior area, a first in Luxembourg, and a Kilterboard, a globally recognized standardized climbing wall. Users can select routes via a smartphone app, with LEDs indicating the required grips. For younger enthusiasts, BlocX features a 200 square meter children’s area with smaller climbing walls and tunnel systems, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
BlocX also houses a parkour area designed by Luxembourg’s own freerunner Lynn Jung, alongside two multifunctional rooms available for activities like yoga and bungee fitness. Adding to the appeal is “Los Monos”, a restaurant within the facility serving Mexican cuisine, a novel addition to the area.
Climbers can access BlocX with a convenient single entry ticket for 15 € or opt for a subscription at 69 €, which includes a personal QR code for smooth entry. This system aims to eliminate waiting lines, enhancing the visitor experience. It’s opened from Monday to Friday from 10AM to 10PM, Saturdays and Sundays from 9AM to 10PM.
BlocX, with its advanced facilities and varied climbing options, is not just a gym; it’s a community hub for climbers, fitness enthusiasts, and families, promising a blend of excitement, challenge, and fun for everyone.
