In the heart of Luxembourg lies Deierenasyl Luxembourg, a beacon of hope and care for animals in need. This year, as Deierenasyl celebrates its 115th anniversary, it stands as a testament to the enduring commitment to animal welfare. Beyond its role as an animal shelter, Deierenasyl Luxembourg actively engages in broader community support. Notably, it has extended help to Ukrainian refugees and their pets, offering food, blankets, toys, and other necessities. This initiative reflects the shelter’s deep-seated commitment to animal care, transcending borders and circumstances.

If you want to spend some time with dogs you can visit the shelter and take some of the animals for a walk. 

The shelter’s operations, open to the public from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, excluding Sundays and public holidays, allow for adoptions and leisurely walks, fostering a strong bond between the community and the animals in their care​.
