Lingoda is a german based service provider for language learning that was founded in 2013.
One of the main challenges in learning a language is the time investment. Getting a place at a course of at the National Institute of Languages is already difficult but getting one in the evening so that there’s no conflict with your working hours is like winning the lottery. Even for the rather expensive courses at ProLingua it’s rather difficult to get a place in one of the evening courses. So what is the best alternative? While you can of course use an app like Babbel or Utalk some people learn more efficent with an online course. And here come’s Lingoda into play. Lingoda is a service provider for online language courses via Zoom. This gives you as a customer a lot of flexibility as you do not need to travel to a school. Everything you need is a notebook with a camera and headset and you can start learning rightaway. As of now Lingoda offers courses for learning French, German, English and Spanish and you can choose between a personal course or a course with a small subset of around 3,4 people. Pricing of the course depends on the amount of lessons you book. If you decide to do 12 classes per month the price for an individual french lesson would be 25 € while the group class only cost 11.50 € per class. The good thing is that you can try it out first as they offer a 7-day trial period where you can visit some classes to get a feeling on how it works. But even after your subscribed its risk free as you can cancel anytime.
